Recycled Phosphorus: A Game-Changer for Sustainable Agriculture – Join the RevoCaP Webinar on 7 November

Invitation RevoCaP webinar

Phosphorus (P) is one of the three essential plant nutrients (N–P–K) and is non-negotiable for agriculture, food production, and animal feed. There is no substitute for phosphorus. Without it, crops cannot grow and food cannot be produced.

Europe currently imports around 85–90% of its phosphate raw materials, primarily from Morocco and Western Sahara (70%), as well as Russia, China, and Egypt. With negligible natural phosphate rock reserves, the EU is highly vulnerable to supply shocks, price volatility, and geopolitical risks. The 2022 war in Ukraine and subsequent trade restrictions on Russian fertilisers triggered a surge in phosphate prices, underscoring the urgency of finding sustainable alternatives.

Phosphorus recycling offers a strategic solution. By recovering phosphorus from sewage sludge ash, the EU can reduce import dependency, enhance strategic autonomy, and foster innovation. This approach also supports the development of exportable technologies, green jobs, and industrial expertise.

EasyMining is leading the way with RevoCaP, a phosphate-based fertiliser derived from sewage sludge ash approved for use in organic farming. RevoCaP will be produced in two large-scale recovery plants currently under construction, delivering high-quality, ready-to-use material in significant volumes.

To explore the future of phosphorus recycling and the benefits of RevoCaP, EasyMining invites stakeholders to a webinar on 7 November 2025, from 09:00 to 10:00 CET.
