A formal application has been submitted to Canadian authorities to approve the use of RevoCaP, EasyMining’s high-purity recycled phosphorus product, in animal feed. The application was filed by Friesen Group, in collaboration with EasyMining and Ragn-Sells.
Phosphorus is critical for both fertilisers and feed production, yet global supply is vulnerable and often contaminated with hazardous heavy metals. Canada currently relies entirely on imported mined phosphorus. Approval of RevoCaP would enable the country to source clean, recycled phosphorus from incinerated biosolids, strengthening food security and supporting circular solutions.
RevoCaP is produced through EasyMining’s patented Ash2Phos process, which recovers over 90% of phosphorus from sewage sludge ash. This innovation reduces dependence on mined resources and aligns with Canada’s sustainability and critical minerals strategy.
